About this direction

You can sell USDT for British pounds at MW Exchange, but not through the automated form: a manager handles this exchange. After your request, the manager quotes the rate, payout method and place, and timing. There is no live figure on the page because there isn’t one. Below: how to tell whether a quoted rate makes sense, and how to get through the deal safely.

Why you get fewer pounds than USDT

The pound is worth more than the dollar, and USDT tracks the dollar. So each USDT buys less than one pound — that’s arithmetic, not a fee.

A hypothetical example (round numbers, not today’s rate): the pound at $1.30, USDT at $1.000. The market reference is 1 ÷ 1.30 ≈ £0.77 per USDT, or about £2,308 for 3,000 USDT before the exchange’s margin. If an offer is far below your own estimate, ask what makes up the difference.

What else changes the final amount

  • The margin. It covers the manual work, delivering the currency and the risk that the pound moves mid-deal.
  • The amount. The rate may depend on it, so ask for the rate for your exact sum.
  • The payout method. The manager will say which options exist; we don’t promise payouts to UK bank accounts in advance.
  • The network fee. You pay it yourself when sending USDT, in TRX (Tron) or ETH (Ethereum).

Why banks and trading platforms show other numbers is explained in how exchange rates are set.

Step by step

  1. Message the manager in the chat or leave your number in the block on this page.
  2. Give the amount, the network (TRC20 or ERC20) and where you need the pounds.
  3. Get the terms: rate, method and place, timing, and the order of settlement.
  4. Accept — or decline if the terms don’t suit you. Nothing needs to be sent before you agree.
  5. Send the USDT to the address the manager gave you, on the agreed network.

Network and address: check twice

TRC20 and ERC20 are different networks with different addresses: a Tron address starts with T, an Ethereum address with 0x. A transfer on the wrong network can be lost. Compare the first and last characters of the address with what the manager wrote, and never take it from your transaction history. If it has already gone wrong, see sent crypto to the wrong network.

Fake managers

Scammers copy an exchange’s name and avatar and write first, offering a better-than-market rate. Start the conversation yourself, from the contact block on the site. Don’t send prepayments “for a check”, and never share your wallet’s recovery phrase: a real exchange doesn’t ask for it.

FAQ

Can I get cash pounds?

Whether that option exists for your amount and city, the manager will tell you. We don’t promise it in advance.

Why is there no rate on this page?

Because this is a manual exchange: the rate depends on the amount and payout method, and the manager quotes it for each request.

Do I need documents?

The exchange may check where the coins came from; for a large amount, the law may require documents.
