The USDT to UAH rate on this page is two prices per coin in each city: one at which we sell USDT for cash hryvnia, and one at which we buy it. Both come from the same source as the order form and refresh roughly once a minute. Below: how to read the tether to hryvnia rate and what to compare it with.
How to read the USDT to UAH rate in the table
"Buy USDT" is how many hryvnia you pay for one coin; "Sell USDT" is how many you receive for each coin you hand over. Holding cash, read the buy column; holding USDT, read the sell column. The gap between them is the spread, the cost of a round trip. It compares exchangers more fairly than either price alone.
The percentage next to each price is the distance to the CoinGecko market reference. When you buy, a lower percentage means a smaller premium; when you sell, a higher one means more hryvnia in hand. The order form shows the exact amount before you submit, plus the minimum for each city and direction. Ready to go: buy USDT for hryvnia or sell USDT for hryvnia.
Market, NBU dollar and cash price: what each number means
CoinGecko averages the USDT price across many trading venues and converts it to hryvnia: a fair market reference, yet nobody hands out cash at it. The NBU dollar is the official rate, set on business days from the interbank market; banks and currency booths sell cash dollars at their own rates. Our rate is the price of a specific deal: cash at a desk in a given city, coins in a chosen network, and a rate held for you for 5 minutes. Between it and the market sit:
- Price risk. If the market moves during those 5 minutes, the exchanger absorbs it.
- Cash as physical stock. Banknotes are stored, counted and delivered to each city in limited amounts; reserves per direction are shown on the site.
- City balance. Where people sell more USDT than they buy, cash runs down and coins pile up, and rebalancing costs money. Hence different percentages by city and direction.
- Network fees and coin checks. Sending you coins costs a network fee, and checking incoming coins matters to you too: an exchanger that does it is less likely to hand clients doubtful coins.
The price at which we buy USDT for cash is often close to the CoinGecko reference and sometimes above it: the reference is an average, while the cash market has its own supply and demand.
Why USDT to UAH is close to the dollar rate but not equal
USDT is a token issued by Tether and pegged to the US dollar. Tether redeems tokens at one dollar for its verified clients, so USDT in hryvnia always sits near the dollar rate. Still, these are different assets. The official dollar rate changes on business days, while USDT trades around the clock and floats around one dollar, usually within fractions of a percent. As a result, exchangers and P2P usually price USDT above the official dollar, and the gap changes daily; the CoinGecko reference, a conversion of the dollar price, stays close to the NBU rate. If you need cash dollars, skip the hryvnia step: see the USDT to USD cash rate.
TRC20, ERC20 or USDC: what the network changes
The switch above the table covers USDT TRC20, USDT ERC20 and USDC ERC20, and rates can differ between them. TRC20 (Tron) confirms in about a minute; its addresses start with T, and sending from your own wallet needs TRX for the fee — one transfer burns several TRX, so keep a margin. ERC20 (Ethereum) costs more; addresses start with 0x and the fee is paid in ETH. USDC works here only on ERC20.
The network in the order must match the one in your wallet, or the coins may be lost. Pick the network your wallet or exchange supports. When selling, you pay the network fee as the sender, and exchanges usually deduct their withdrawal fee from the amount, so allow for it.
How to compare the rate with P2P and exchanges
A P2P ad prices one coin and ignores the route around the deal, so compare totals: the network fee to move coins onto the platform (fixed, so it weighs more on small amounts), whether your amount fits the ad's limits, how long the deal takes, and whether you get cash in one sum or card transfers from strangers your bank may ask about. Our rate is fixed for 5 minutes from order creation.
Cash in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro and other cities
Cash exchange works in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv and Chernivtsi; the table shows which directions are open in each city right now. Kharkiv has five cash desks: near the Studentska, Tsentralnyi Rynok, Akademika Barabashova and Kholodna Hora metro stations, and on Aerokosmichnyi Avenue in the Odeska area. Their hours differ, so the manager suggests a convenient point and time. In Kyiv and Dnipro the manager confirms the place and time after the order. Orders are accepted around the clock; cash is handed over during desk hours. More on each city: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Chernivtsi.
Card payouts in hryvnia and exchanges to EUR, PLN, GBP and CHF are handled manually by a manager, with no live rate on the site: message the manager for a quote.
