The USDT to USD rate on this page is the price of one coin in cash US dollars for each city: one price at which we sell USDT for dollars, another at which we buy it. The numbers come from the same source as the order form and refresh roughly once a minute. Because USDT is pegged to the dollar, both prices sit close to one, so the figure that matters most is the percentage to market.
Why USDT to USD is not exactly 1
USDT is issued by Tether, which holds reserves and redeems tokens at one dollar, but only for its verified clients and from a large minimum. For everyone else the market sets the price: it floats around one dollar, usually within fractions of a percent. That is why the exchange rate of USDT to USD is very close to one yet almost never a round number.
The cash rate adds a second layer. Between a coin on the blockchain and banknotes in your hand there is a cash desk with a limited stock of dollars in a given city, the network fee for sending coins, a check of incoming funds, and the 5 minutes during which the rate is held for you. Together this makes up the deviation from market that the table shows in percent.
How to turn the percentage into dollars
"Buy USDT" is how many cash dollars you pay for one coin; "Sell USDT" is how many dollars you receive for each coin you hand over. Next to each price is the percentage to the CoinGecko market reference.
With a rate near one, the percentage is easier to read than the price itself. To turn it into money, multiply by your amount: one percent of 1,000 USDT is 10 dollars, of 10,000 USDT it is 100 dollars. When you buy, a lower percentage means a smaller premium; when you sell, a higher one means more dollars in hand. The order form shows the exact amount before you submit, along with the minimum for each city and direction. For a large exchange, check the reserve for the direction on the site first.
Cash dollars or hryvnia: which to choose
The same USDT can be exchanged for cash dollars or cash hryvnia, and the choice depends on what you will do with the money. Dollars suit savings kept in foreign currency, payments in dollars, or a plan to buy USDT again later: the exchange is direct, so you do not pay the spread twice. Hryvnia suits spending in Ukraine, where an intermediate dollar is just one more step with its own spread; see the USDT to UAH rate. If unsure, compare both totals in the form. EUR, PLN, GBP and CHF are handled manually by a manager, with no live rate on the site: message the manager for a quote.
USDT vs USDC: how the dollar peg holds
Both are stablecoins: their value is pegged to the US dollar and the issuer holds reserves against the coins in circulation. Tether issues USDT, Circle issues USDC; they differ in reserve structure and regulatory approach, and USDT is used far more in exchange trading.
The peg is held by the market and gets tested under stress. In May 2022 USDT briefly slipped below a dollar during the collapse of another stablecoin. In March 2023 USDC fell below a dollar for a while when part of its reserves was caught in a failed US bank. Both times the price returned to one, but the episodes show that 1 USDT and 1 dollar are very close, not identical. USDT works here on TRC20 and ERC20, USDC on ERC20 only.
How to exchange USDT for cash dollars without mistakes
The costliest mistake is the network. The network in the order must match the one in your wallet: coins sent over the wrong network may be lost. Choose the network your wallet or exchange supports; if both work, compare the fee before sending: which network is cheaper depends on load and changes over time. When you sell, you pay the network fee as the sender, and exchanges usually deduct their withdrawal fee from the amount, so allow for it in advance.
The rate is fixed for 5 minutes from order creation; if time runs out, create a new order at the current rate with no penalty. Orders are accepted around the clock, cash is handed over during desk hours, and on a night order the manager messages you on Telegram when the desk opens. The exchanger may check where incoming coins come from: funds from exchanges, salary and ordinary transfers usually raise no questions; for large sums ID may be requested as required by law. The table shows which cities work with dollars right now; more on Kyiv, Kharkiv and Dnipro.
